Beacon package Arva Pack Safety Box Evo4

The Arva Safety Box package includes one Evo4 avalanche beacon, one Spark 240 probe and an Access shovel.  

Arva Evo4 avalanche beacon 

The Evo4 transceiver is an evolution of the Evo 3+ model. It is easier to use thanks an automatic start function called Clip For Safe and the ability to mark multiple victims. 

Nic-Impex that manufactures and distributes the Evo4, as well as all the products from the Arva brand offers an intuitive and reliable product, ideal for freeriding, ski touring or splitboarding. 

How does the Arva Evo4 work? 

The main asset of the Evo4, is the Clip For Safe feature. You only need to wear the device as close as possible to your body, over a technical base layer and to attach the strap for the beacon to automatically turn on and start emitting. At the same time, it performs a signal light and battery check so that you can know the battery level. 

The Evo4 benefits from the Group Check feature to make sure all the beacons of the people in your group are working at the start of your outing. This simple check is of prime important to be 100 % sure every single beacon in the group is in working order. 

What to do in case of an avalanche? 

To start the intervention and switch to search mode, simply push the top button on the Evo4. The direction and distance of the victim are clearly indicated on the device’s LCD screen. Simply follow the directions.  

The Evo4 will guide you with arrows down to the 3 m zone. From here on, the arrows disappear to let you start bracketing (searching in a cross pattern), closer to the ground. Then, start probing and shovelling. 

How does the multi-victim mode work? 

If multiple people are buried, the Evo4 automatically displays several icons each corresponding to one victim upon detecting the signal. Once the first victim is detected and its location is marked, you can use the victim marking function to start searching for the next victim and let your teammates dig out the first one.

Spark 240 Probe 

The Spark 240 Probe is very efficient no matter the conditions. Made from aluminium, it measures 2.40 m when completely unfolded. It is made of 8 segments of 30 cm each. The handle and Pin Lock locking system allow to deploy it quickly. The markings enable to know precisely the snow depth.

Access Shovel
