Originally, Nordica was a brand of street shoes founded in 1939 in Montebelluna by two brothers, Adriano and Oddone Vaccari. Over the years, the brand specialized in ski boots.
In 1963, Nordica was the first to introduce the hook fastening system and moments later, they launched the very first polyurethane ski boot. Ever since, the brand is recognised for the quality and comfort of its models, such is the case of the HF range.
In the 70’s, Nordica created various subdivisions all over the world, in the US first, before settling down to Austria, Japan, Swiss, France and Germany. Its production was already up to 2 million pairs of boots a year at the time.
In 2003, the Tecnica group bought Nordica and decided to put the emphasis on racing products. Nowadays, the brand does not limit itself to boots anymore and some of the Nordica skis models have now become true references on the market like the Enforcer and Santa Ana all-mountain and freeride skis for example, beloved by most specialized magazines.
