Description
Second ski of the Fischer range of skins, the Twin Skin Carbon remains in the top 5 of the skin skis of the whole market, that's to say the level of expertise and performance of the Austrian brand in this field! The quality of the Fischer sole combined with the tolerance of the ski make it a unique model of its kind.
What are the characteristics of the Fischer Twin Skin Carbon Pro Medium cross-country ski?
This year the Twin Skin Carbon has undergone a technical update making it able to stay in tune with the rest of the Fischer performance range. It is now equipped with the Cold Base Bonding process on the soles. A cold bonding technology that has less impact on the soles at the molecular level and offers better glide quality and more versatility when the snow transforms. In addition to this modification, the construction of the ski is based on the principle of all the racing skis in the range with an Air Core Carbon shell, or to put it more simply, a honeycomb covered with glass and carbon fibres. This provides the ski with more lateral rigidity on the side grips and increases its propulsion dynamism. Fischer has put in its best quality sole, equal to that of a Speedmax for example, and in addition to this the Twin Skin system optimises glide on the support phases with a 100% mohair design. The quality of this type of skins in terms of performance is no longer to be proven, and as far as grip is concerned, between the Medium camber which crushes quite easily under the support and the restraint provided by the Twin Skin system in two slats, one can only praise the docile character of the ski for such a high-performance model. Of course, this type of ski is made for athletic skiers who have a good knowledge of classic style if they want to get the most out of it. As far as mounting is concerned, it is fitted with IFP plates intended only for the associated Turnamic bindings as specified by Fischer on most of its models. These bindings are adapted to Turnamic, Prolink and NNN shoe standards.
Who is the Fischer Twin Skin Carbon Pro Medium cross-country ski for?
It is a model suitable for experienced and sporty skiers looking for a high-performance ski with skins that is well priced compared to the Speedmax. It is ideal for long training sessions and shows a remarkable performance for a ski with skins. It may be the solution to reconcile some skiers with the classic, more precisely those who no longer want to bother with waxing.
