Description

Recognized for its excellence in Nordic ski design, Madshus is striking hard this season with the arrival of the new Redline pole, a competition-oriented model benefiting from top-of-the-range design.

The challenge was a tricky one on paper, however, as competing with market leaders who have been offering exceptionally high-performance, cutting-edge models for several seasons now is no mean feat. With the Redline, Madshus has succeeded in doing just that. Its 100% carbon tube, 54g per meter, is directly among the models with the best weight/stiffness ratio on the market, offering exceptional thrust performance. Of course, the pole's aerodynamics have not been left to chance: with its teardrop-shaped molded design, air resistance is reduced to an absolute minimum, which is far from being a detail when you're looking for performance.

The Redline is naturally equipped with very high-end accessories with a contoured natural cork handle, coupled with an ergonomic wrist strap offering excellent grip and optimal power transfer.

Finally, it features the TBS basket system widely proven on Swix poles in particular, enabling baskets to be switched quickly via a screw-thread system, to adapt to all types of snow or to pass over ski-wheel tips.

As you can see, the Redline pole makes a direct entry into the big leagues, for a price that remains reasonable given its incredible design quality.

Exceptions :
  • When going for a single-shafted touring pole, add about 5 centimetres to the length given in the table to gain efficiency through ascents.
  • For a telescopic pole, people measuring more than 1m85 should choose a pole extending up to 1m50 in order to avoid reaching the extension limit.
