The eternal X-IUM WC Skate is one of the flagship products of the Rossignol Nordic range. This shoe represents the entry into the brand's top-of-the-range universe. A design that has evolved over time improving precision and support. A very good quality/price ratio in a range where competition is raging.  

What are the characteristics of the Rossignol X-IUM WC Skate cross-country ski boot?  

Apart from the aesthetic aspect, most of the boot remains identical to the previous version. Lateral stability in skating is ensured by the carbon buttresses found under the malleoli, which reinforces the entire structure of the rearfoot. The asymmetrical 3D World Cup carbon asymmetrical collar ensures a very satisfactory fit while maintaining maximum tolerance. Indeed, this collar has the particularity of freeing up the internal area so as not to constrain the internal malleolus and to provide a little more flexibility on the support grips. A very well-thought-out concept for skiers in a technical progression phase requiring a little more tolerance when placing the ski. As far as the gaiters are concerned, there are no changes to be noted and this system has already proven itself in the past, with a very practical central Zip opening. The access to the boot is very easy and the overall Comfort is very satisfactory. The shape of the boot is in the purest tradition of the Rossignol boot, with a thin heel that perfectly blocks the foot for skiing and a generous forefoot for better comfort in the metatarsal area. The small change, or let's say a comeback, is the reappearance of the Speedlace Lock quick lacing system. Very practical, it also ensures an optimal fit of the boot because the laces are attached directly to nylon straps that run along the sides of the foot. This result in a homogeneous grip with a complete adjustment around the circumference of the foot. The Turnamic sole, although thicker than the carbon soles of the upper models, provides good sensations with a good lateral rigidity. The torsion in thrust remains quite low and above all more tolerant than a carbon sole. It is in this category of footwear that the battle between brands is the most intense, but despite this, the X-IUM WC Skate remains one of the market leaders.
