This one is not for the faint hearted! The Speedmax version with skins features the same technologies and the same construction as the waxable Speedmax. In other words, it is made for true classic technique fans. A fantastic performance level in an easier to use version thanks to the Twin Skins.

What are the characteristics of the Fischer Twin Skin Speedmax 3D Medium Nordic ski?

Let's talk about the camber, we have selected this ski in Medium as we know skiers who can be interested in such a model will be experienced and that for classic style nothing beats a camber easier to flatten in difficult sections. The Twin Skin 100 % mohait skins are dedicated to performance, providing the best glide but also being the most technical in terms of positioning. Regarding the construction, Fischer opted for a honeycomb beneath a high modulus carbon plate. In other words, the ski feels very secure for step turns or when changing tracks and provides dynamism for the kick phase. The 3D sidewalls designed with a very thin base can be liquid waxed by a cold application, WARNING only liquid wax, never with an iron as the base is too thin to withstand an iron. This concept means snow cannot stick to the sidewalls, which would make the ski heavier and unbalanced. It is all the more useful for classic as in deeper snow or when skiing off track, it can happen often. This is probably one the most beautiful skin skis, and without a doubt one the three best we tried.  

Useful information:

  • All Fischer cross-country skis from this range are pre-waxed to protect the bases during storage and transport. It is required to scrape and brush the skis before using them.
  • All Fischer Nordic skis feature IFP plates for Turnamic bindings compatible with NNN, Prolink and Turnamic boot standards.

Who is the Fischer Twin Skin Speedmax 3D Medium cross-country ski for?

We are not going to lie, even if it is a skin ski, the Twin Skin Speedmax cannot be used by anyone. This is a ski for skiers with already a good amount of experience in classic and who are looking for an additional pair, easier to maintain than waxable skis.
