Description

The Bataleon Goliath relies on a poplar and paulownia wood core paired to a triaxial glass fibre weave and carbon reinforcements. These elements provide respectively lightness and responsiveness, torsional stiffness and to finish, rebound and stability. The result on snow is a not too stiff flex and therefore an enjoyable and accessible board. Even more so as the inserts are placed slightly toward the back to facilitate turn entries and the concave 3BT tips improve forgiveness.

What is the program of the Bataleon Goliath snowboard?

The Goliath, it is a directional shape, a perfect format for a freestyle/all-mountain program. The board is precise and stable on any type of snow and offers rebound between turns while being accessible and not exhausting to handle. The foot stance placed slightly toward the back facilitates turn entries and the concave tips prevent you from catching an edge. The behaviour in fresh snow is also improved, as the board lifts with more ease and is pretty playful at the tips. As a consequence, the Goliath is enjoyable to ride in any condition, everywhere in the resort, it is efficient and nimble to shred the descents, link turns and have fun. You can also do some freestyle, send tricks on side hits or in the terrain park on jib features.

Who is the Bataleon Goliath snowboard for?

The Goliath will satisfy an intermediate/advanced snowboarder who wants to ride everywhere in the resort, trace beautiful turns on groomers, slash powder and send tricks in the park.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
