The Bataleon Goliath features a lightweight and dynamic core made of paulownia and poplar wood, reinforced with triaxial fibreglass for greater torsional rigidity, as well as carbon reinforcements to increase rebound and stability. Nevertheless, it remains enjoyable to ride. With its playful flex and slight setback, it offers an intuitive and effortless ride. Additionally, like all Bataleon boards, it features 3BT concave tips that eliminate unnecessary catch points.

What is the Bataleon Goliath snowboard made for?

The Bataleon Goliath is a twin-directional model perfect for a confident all-mountain freestyle riding. It manoeuvres with ease, providing precision, rebound, and stability on all types of snow, while remaining energy-efficient. The slightly set-back stance facilitates turn initiation, and the concave shape of the tips forgives edge mistakes. The float in powder is also improved, providing more support and playfulness. Efficient yet manageable, it is an excellent board for linking turns and tackling runs in the entire resort, regardless of conditions. The setback does not affect the freestyle aspect of the board, which remains suitable for tricks on side hits or jibs in the terrain park.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
