Description

The Goliath + is part of Bataleon’s "+ series", which revisits iconic models from the brand with high-end constructions to offer more performance. You find the directional twin shape of the Goliath, offering lots of versatility, but with better technologies and materials from Bataleon.

What is the program of the Bataleon Goliath + snowboard?

The Bataleon Goliath + is a directional twin, symmetrical from nose to tail for freestyle and switch riding, but with a slightly setback stance for more manoeuvrability in alpine style and a better ability to lift in powder. The classic camber provides grip, pop and rebound, the 3BT and Sidekick shape technologies (the edges are raised, giving a concave shape to the board), provide more forgiveness and smoothness in the turns, while enhancing the lift. Finally, the Goliath + benefits from a Super Ultra Light wood core with 80 % paulownia and 20 % poplar, the AirRide component offering cushioning, layers of triaxial glass and carbon fibre reinforcements for torsional stiffness, as well as carbon tubes along the edges for exceptional stability on the edge. This cocktail of technologies results in a board that is both very light and responsive, allowing to shred in the descents in the entire resort, no matter the conditions and which shape and playfulness let you send it in freestyle, on natural jumps and in the terrain park.

Who is the Bataleon Goliath + snowboard for?

This model is meant for advanced and expert snowboarders looking for a high-end and very versatile snowboard to shred hard in all-mountain freestyle, backcountry freestyle, etc.

What are the main assets of the Bataleon Goliath + snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
