Description

The Custom has a slightly directional shape, with a nose slightly longer than the tail providing better flotation in powder snow. It offers a tonic flex but isn't too demanding providing comfort and playability. It's a really versatile board that you'll really enjoy riding.

What is the Burton Custom snowboard's program?

The Burton Custom offers great cornering skills on all types of snow, thanks to its directional shape, but also thanks to its classic camber, which is very pronounced. The grip is very good on hard snow, but you also enjoy a nice ride in powder. Well balanced between performance and accessibility, this board allows you to set the pace and accelerate without being too radical. It remains comfortable to ride all day long and doesn't hesitate to step out of its comfort zone to surprise you in freestyle or off-piste.

Who is the Burton Custom snowboard for?

The Custom has been a favorite of a wide range of snowboarders for many winters now. Accessible from the intermediate/confirmed level, it is suitable for freestyle riders as well as for a snowboarder looking to carve leisurely on the slopes, or for someone who likes to ride on all types of terrains with a variety of rhythms.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
