Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Burton Instigator Camber features a soft, easy-to-ride flex, classic camber and a directional shape for added manoeuvrability and versatility. It features a lightweight biaxial fiberglass-reinforced wood core and a sturdy base. A durable board that you can grow with.

What is the Burton Instigator Camber snowboard program?

The Instigator Camber is directional, meaning that its tail is a little thinner than its nose, and the position of the inserts has been slightly setback. The result is a board that's easier to ride, with faster entry into turns and better lift in powder. The classic camber is not too pronounced, which allows for a secure grip on the piste without being too radical. The accessible flex allows for a board that is not physically demanding so you can descend without missing a beat and get the most out of your day. Easy to handle and capable of passing everywhere, this board is ideal for getting the hang of the slopes and for small off-piste runs in the resort.

Who is the Burton Instigator Camber snowboard for?

We recommend the Burton Instigator Camber snowboard to riders with a few technical basics or to beginners who are a bit athletic and who are looking for a versatile and evolving board with which they can progress throughout the resort.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
