Description

The Stylus snowboard has a light, flexible and robust fibreglass reinforced wood shell. It is glued with a Super Sap glue, a more ecological alternative to epoxy resin, a toxic glue usually used in snowboard manufacturing. Here is a snowboard with a qualitative construction, proposed at a rather reasonable price and permitting to progress smoothly all over the resort.

What is the program of the Burton Stylus snowboard?

The Stylus has a Twin-Tip shape, a symmetrical shape particularly appreciated in freestyle because it allows you to switch without problems. Before thinking about riding upside down and doing tricks, let's start by learning the basics: skidded turns then cut turns. To do this, the Stylus has been equipped with a flat camber, offering a safe grip on the track while being tolerant of edge faults. In addition, there are rockers with spatulas, which smooth the transitions between turns and also make it easier to pass over transformed snow at the bottom of the slopes or at the end of the day, as well as in fresh snow at the edges of the slopes. So, you've got an easy-to-ride board under your feet that you can use to progress at your own pace!

Who is the Burton Stylus snowboard for?

The Burton Stylus is designed for beginners and inexperienced snowboarders in need of a board that is easy to ride and can ridden at their own pace. The Stylus will also be great for the occasional snowboarder who just wants to ride leisurely and enjoy the resort.

What are the main qualities of the Burton Stylus snowboard?

Easy to handle

Tolerant

Versatile

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
