The Capita Mega Death is an enhanced version of The Black Snowboard Of Death, offering a directional shape and flex that ensure great fluidity and efficiency on all types of terrain and snow conditions. This snowboard also benefits from advanced technologies that provide lightness, power, response, and superior damping capabilities.

What is the Capita Mega Death snowboard made for?

With its directional shape, flex, and stance, the Mega Death offers exceptional precision in handling and performs admirably on all snow types. Turns are negotiated easily, the board floats effortlessly in powder thanks to the front and rear rockers, and the traditional camber ensures optimal grip on hard snow. This enhanced version features a Themopolymer Hover Core hybrid core, a blend of wood and carbon, for a lighter and stronger structure with excellent damping properties. Additional carbon and flax fibres have been strategically added to increase power and improve vibration absorption. Finally, the flex is controlled by a double layer of triaxial fibreglass, offering a powerful and stable board even at high speeds, while remaining comfortable thanks to its flexibility. A true asset for shredding the resort all day long.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.

Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
