Description

The Capita Super DOA, aka Super Defenders Of Awesome is the upgraded version of the Capita Defenders Of Awesome. It is a very high-end snowboard with a true twin shape designed for freestyle. It benefits from the 3D Thermopolymer Supercore core, which combines poplar, paulownia, beechwood and the thermoplastic resin for an ultra-lightweight robust and powerful model. You also find aramid and carbon inserts, as well as two layers of triaxial fiberglass for amazing performances.  

What is the program of the Capita Super DOA snowboard?  

The Super DOA is the ultimate park/piste freestyle board. Its twin-tip shape makes it beg to be ridden switch, the classic camber provides radical grip on hard park and allows to enjoy the explosivity of the construction. The pop is stratospheric, as is the rebound on carved turns. However, it is not too stiff nor physical, you will not get noodle legs riding it. In the terrain park, the flex is optimal on rails and boxes and you can throw yourself without worrying about leaving a piece of edge thanks to the aramid reinforcements along the sidewalls. Robust, powerful and grippy, yet still playful, this board is ready for anything you throw at it on groomers and in the park.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
