Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The new Jones Aviator was developed in collaboration with the Jones team riders Victor de Le Rue and Jimmy Goodman. The Aviator 2.0 is a completely redesigned directional twin, symmetrical from nose to tail but with a slightly backwards foot position, goes into classic full camber and has a very powerful construction. It promises serious descent abilities on all terrains, lots of support and the ability to load big kickers.

What is the program of the Jones Aviator 2.0 snowboard?

The Aviator 2.0 is a monster of stability and grip. Its Power Core wood shell, with a Koroyd structure in the tips to save weight without losing performance, its triaxial fiberglass layers and its carbon and composite reinforcements provide exceptional energy. This construction, combined with the classic full camber and Traction Tech edges, provides exceptional edge hold to cut through the piste like a razor. The inserts are set back slightly to give you more comfort in the turns, while enabling lift in powder. This means you can go carving or backcountry off-piste, no problem. Finally, the symmetry of the board allows you to switch without any problem, and the power and stability will allow you to charge the biggest kickers in the snowpark without any problem.

Who is the Jones Aviator 2.0 snowboard for?

This model is aimed at expert snowboarders looking for a powerful board that will allow them to send all types of terrain with a lot of support, both in freestyle and freeride.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
