The Jones Storm Chaser is a wide and short snowboard which shape has been created with the surf shaper Chris Christenson. This directional model floats on power like a surf on water and is meant for deep snow while having good carving potential. Everything is designed to allow the Storm Chaser to lift easily, the long nose featuring an important width and the 3D Contour Base 3.0 shape, the stance with lots of setback, the short V-shaped tail and the Surf Rocker profile provide an amazing behaviour in pow and great manoeuvrability. The Bamboo Surf Core provides responsiveness, which will be also pleasant to carve on groomed snow between two virgin snow fields. A snowboard for advanced and expert level riders who want to trace beautiful lines in powder and on the slopes.

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
