Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Storm Wolf is a new addition to the Jones range, mixing the Storm Chaser and the Lone Wolf. The Storm Wolf has a powdery shape with a sharp nose and rocker and a pronounced swallow tail. The flotation is definitely present with the Storm Wolf, which offers you an ultra-fluid ride and an effortless lift regardless of the amount of snow. The ride is easy but the shape is designed for long turns. Finally, the construction with a wood shell, biaxial fiberglass and carbon/composite reinforcements offers relaunch and stability, allowing you to get into turns on hard snow and accelerate without hesitation. This is an ideal model for a snowboarder with a good technical level looking for a top of the range board that can handle strong riding in beautiful conditions, without being too technically demanding. The icing on the cake is that the construction uses a majority of durable materials, as is the case with Jones.

What are the main qualities of the Jones Storm Wolf snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
