Description

The Lib Tech Orca is a pure powder board that benefits from a very directional shape, a very setback foot stance and a tapered tail with a specific shape. This makes it very comfortable in powder and provides a smooth ride, turns that are easy to initiate and instant lift. The C2X hybrid camber offers a good dose of grip for hardpack and increases precision, control, as well as float. Perfect for the backcountry, you will have lots of fun riding between the trees and pillows when the conditions are here. This model is available in multiple lengths and we recommend to choose a size 3 to 6 cm shorter than usual to retain maximum agility.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
