Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The T.Rice Golden Orca is a snowboard developed by the American snowboarder Travis Rice, who uses it on the Freeride World Tour. It is a board that combines power, versatility, flotation and freestyle skills. The shape is directional but not too directional, offering good lift in the pop while remaining healthy in switch. The C2X hybrid camber allows for an increase in flotation thanks to its inverted camber sections, while maintaining precision and control when riding on hard snow thanks to its classic camber sections. Lib Tech's Fire Power construction offers a firm flex and a good level of stability, allowing you to hold the edge better and ride faster without losing precision.  It's a board that can be ridden on all types of snow, can be ridden really hard and is balanced enough to take off on a kicker and land in switch.

What are the main qualities of the Lib Tech T.Rice Golden Orca snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
