Description

The Nitro SMP has a slightly directional shape and a camber + rocker profile that offers efficiency on all types of snow. It has a biaxial glass fibre reinforced Powercore wood core, offering a rather firm flex while maintaining comfort and softness in the tips. It's a really versatile board, toned and fun to ride.  

What is the program of the Nitro SMP snowboard?  

If its directional shape remains discreet, with a tail very slightly thinner than the nose, the SMP still offers a lot of efficiency in turns thanks to the backward position of the feet which considerably facilitates the ride. The entry of the curve is fluid and the turns are easy to follow. The camber + rocker profile works on all types of snow, offering a good grip on hard snow while facilitating edge-to-edge transitions and improving the exit in powder. It's a board that can be used to vary the terrain without any problem, carve on the piste, go off-piste in a variety of conditions, but also do a little freestyle on the edges of the piste. The ideal way to progress in all areas.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
