Description

Every year Burton is launching new models in their Family Tree freeride lineup. This year, the latest model featuring the iconic tree is called the Dump Truck. With its nature-like topsheet designed by Dean “Blotto” Gray, this model is a must to go venture.

What can the Burton 2018 Dump Truck snowboard do?

This freeride snowboard features an ultra modern shape. Burton designed a directional board with a traditional camber to ensure you maximum steering precision, reliable grip and incredible pop. The American brand was clearly looking for performance and control and even added some carbon to the construction to create a pure bomb. The 2018 Dump Truck is the ultimate model for long sporty rides on overhead days. This powerful and lively beast remains stable and excels whatever the conditions. It floats effortlessly on wide powder fields thanks to its nose rocker and its edges rip up icy terrains just as well. This is the perfect toy to draw your own lines all over the mounatin.

Who is the Burton 2018 Dump Truck snowboard designed for?

Advanced and expert riders after the ultimate model to reach the best spots and charge everywhere have never had it so good. The Dump Truck is not the most forgiving and undemanding model on the shell but it was obviously engineered for performance. Burton has never just followed the pack and the Dump Truck proves the point.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
