Description

The Name Dropper combines a playful flex and twin-tip shape ideal for freestyle, with a PurePop camber and Frostbite edges offering excellent grip on hard snow. This makes it a very effective snowboard on the piste and in the park, while remaining easy to ride and energy efficient.  

What is the program of the Burton Name Dropper snowboard?  

The Name Dropper is equipped with a Super Fly wood shell that is light, robust and offers dynamism while being quite flexible on the spatulas. It's a board that's pleasant to ride, not physically demanding and with which you can place press and easily pop ollies. As the name suggests, the PurePop camber maximizes pop, but also offers good grip on hard snow. You can mark your precisely cut turns and enjoy yourself on a freshly groomed trail, particularly thanks to the extra grip offered by the Frostbite edges. The core activity of this board remains freestyle, so don't hesitate to go to the snowpark or the edges of the slopes to work on your jib tricks and send on the kickers.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
