Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Capita Scott Stevens Mini is a children’s snowboard designed to make the life of novice riders as easy as can be. To do so, it relies on a reverse camber and soft flex, while its twin-tip shape –perfectly symmetrical- is ideal to learn tricks.

What is the Capita Scott Stevens Mini snowboard made for?

The Scott Stevens Mini is twin-tip board, meaning it enables to ride both ways, which offers more options for freestyle. However, first and foremost, you have to start at the beginning. For this, the Scott Stevens Mini relies on a soft flex, making it very easy to handle, and a reverse camber to prevent edge catches and ride well on transformed snow and spring slush. Consequently, this is a board to boost your confidence and have fun in no time, and then try sending some tricks!

Who is the Capita Scott Stevens Mini snowboard aimed at?

We recommend this model to aspiring young snowboarders or more advanced young riders who fantasize about freestyle and want a board to have fun in the terrain park.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
