Capita is one of the best snowboard brands on the market, offering high quality snowboards, handmade in an Austrian factory running on 100% renewable energy. The Slush Slashers is a very fun powder board to ride, which will be perfect as a second board for outings when the weather is good.   

What is the programme of the Capita Spring Break Slush Slashers snowboard?  

Only available in four small sizes (139, 143, 147 and 151 cm), the Slush Slashers are designed to be ridden shorter than your usual snowboard size. Feel free to take it 10 centimetres shorter than what you usually ride, in order to take advantage of its playability and Manoeuvrable features. The lack of length is compensated by the width of the board, with ample volume on the nose and the skate, and by the flat camber profile which allows for optimal glide in powder. The grip is also sufficient for fun on the piste, but you will tend to slip when the snow gets really hard. In any case, it is a soft and fun board, ideal for linking short turns, slaloming between skiers and riding without stress.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
