The Capita Super DOA (for Super Defenders Of Awesome), is an improved version of the Capita Defenders Of Awesome. This is a high-end snowboard with a twin-tip shape, designed for freestyle riding. Its 3D Thermopolymer Supercore combines poplar, paulownia, beech and thermoplastic resin for lightness, strength and performance. You'll also notice the presence of aramid and carbon reinforcements, as well as layers or triaxial fiberglass for remarkable performance. 

What is the Capita Super DOA snowboard for? 

The Super DOA is the epitome of a terrain park/groomer freestyle board. Its twin-tip shape facilitates switch riding, while the traditional camber guarantees intense grip on hardpack and optimises the construction’s power. The Hyperdrive ADV base provides high quality glide, the pop is amazing, so is the rebound between carved turns. It remains not too challenging nor stiff and won't be too hard on your legs. In the terrain park, it has the ideal flex to ride rails and boxes and the aramid reinforcements provide the strength to withstand impacts. Strong, dynamic and grippy while remaining playful, this board is ready for any challenge on groomers and in the terrain park.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
