What can the DC FOCUS snowboard do?

The Focus was designed to make snowboarding fun and easy. This means if you are a beginner or if you like cruising, the Focus is a perfect match. Its forgiving and intuitive character allows every rider to discover the joys of snowboarding at his own pace. The board is versatile, it’s fun to play with and it doesn’t feel too catchy or aggressive, it inspires confidence on the slopes. Its reverse camber coupled with the detuned edges offers a natural and effortless pivot and feels like a great help to progress your technique. Riders with ambitions can also use it for floating their first powder snow and lay their first turns on the deep. The Focus was made to focus on the fun you get when snowboarding so relax and enjoy.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
