Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Jones Aviator is a twin directional model, with a perfectly symmetrical shape that provides ease in switch for freestyle tricks and a directional flex along with a setback foot position that provides better turning skills and more versatility. This shape is combined with a high-end construction offering a high level of response and glide quality, while limiting the environmental impact through the use of eco-friendly materials.

What is the Jones Aviator snowboard program?

With its triaxial fiberglass, carbon and Innegra composite reinforced wood core, the Aviator offers great response in curves and stability at high speeds. On the piste, the classic camber and Traction Tech 2.0 technology provide excellent edge grip even on the hardest snow, while the subtly rounded spatulas using the 3D Contour Base 2.0 technology make transitions from edge to edge easier. It's the ultimate in strong carving on the slopes, especially since the setback foot position facilitates placement in curves, while also providing better edge clearance in deep snow. So, you can vary the terrain as you wish, ride hard and of course send on the kickers for the most aerial of you.

Who is the Jones Aviator snowboard for?

We recommend this model to experienced or expert snowboarders who like boards that are stiff enough to set the pace during descents on all terrains and are looking for a model that also offers good freestyle skills.

What are the main qualities of the Jones Aviator snowboard?

Versatility

Stability

Manoeuvrability

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
