Description

There’s nothing better than fresh deep powder! Do you know what I’m talking about ? The STORM CHASER from Jones… The blue is definitly the 2018 color of the brand. It is a part of the new generation of short and wide boards that give the freeride a new orientation !

What can the Jones STORM CHASER snowboard do?

A board that will make you understand what floating means… The STORM CHASER from Jones, would it be one of the most wanted short board of the market ? We won’t tell anything, but in any case you will experience magical rides ! This year, your board features bamboo reinforcements from nose to tail, which makes it way more responsive… Perfect for a last minute change of direction ! Then, we must admit that with its nose and tail rockers designed by the surf shaper Chris Christenson, the board has what it takes to deliver fun on powder. You can transfer your weight onto the tail to lift the nose up to the surface as if you were surfing the perfect wave… Given its phenomenal handling, the board is going to give you a blast when busting through the trees.

Who is the Jones STORM CHASER snowboard designed for?

This board is intended for the advanced to expert snowboarders who are searching for a second powder-specific board. With it, you can play around with the terrain thanks to its incredible floatation and a foolproof handling.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
