Description

The K2 Raygun Pop is a directional snowboard, offering responsiveness in turns while remaining comfortable to ride. Unlike the Raygun, the Raygun Pop has a classic camber that makes it more dynamic, with more bounce in the turns.

What is the program of the K2 Raygun Pop snowboard?

The Raygun has a directional shape, with a good rocker on the front, a classic camber and back inserts, and a lighter rocker on the back. The idea is to have maximum efficiency in turns, and this on all types of snow and terrain. The entry of curves is fast thanks to the rocker, the turns are precise, in particular on track thanks to the grip of the classic camber. In powder, the lift is quite natural, we stay on the surface without physical exertion. Finally, the wood core reinforced with glass and carbon fibres offers responsiveness and stability while remaining easy to handle. A board with which you can enjoy the resort regardless of the snow conditions, have fun and progress in all-mountain/freeride.

Who is the K2 Raygun Pop snowboard for?

The Raygun Pop is accessible from the intermediate/advanced level and is designed for snowboarders who like to vary their turns throughout the resort and perform off-piste.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
