Description

The Nitro Prime is an easy to learn and evolving model, ideal for beginners to progress on all terrains. It's a great choice for a first board that can be used throughout the resort. Its key ingredients are its directional shape, its accessible flex and its forgiving camber profile.

What is the Nitro Prime snowboard program?

The Prime is designed for all-mountain use, i.e., throughout the resort. To do this, it relies on its directional shape, with a tail that is slightly thinner than the nose and a setback foot position, which makes it easier to engage the curves while improving the lift in powder. The flat camber provides a good compromise between grip and forgiveness, perfect for serenely linking turns on the slopes. It is easy to handle and safe, and has a good flex, offering reactivity without being physically demanding.

Who is the Nitro Prime snowboard for?

This model will please beginner snowboarders who are looking for a fun and progressive board to progress, but it will also suit intermediate snowboarders who prefer to ride comfortably and are looking to have fun throughout the resort.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
