Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Salomon Assassin is an exceptionally adaptable all-mountain freestyle snowboard, designed with a directional twin shape that delivers outstanding performance across all types of snow and makes riding switch a breeze.

What is the Salomon Assassin snowboard made for?

The Assassin features a wood core reinforced with carbon fibres, giving it a stiff flex for dynamic pop and excellent responsiveness when turning, while still remaining easy to handle and relatively forgiving. Thanks to its traditional camber, it provides solid edge hold on hardpack, while the rocker zones at the tips add a touch of playfulness and enhance float in powder. Additionally, the slightly set-back stance makes it easier to initiate turns and improves lift in deeper snow.

Who is the Salomon Assassin snowboard aimed at?

This board is ideal for intermediate to advanced snowboarders who want to progress in freestyle while having as much fun as possible.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
