Description

Widely inspired from the Assassin, the Craft features an aspen core but comes with softer flex which makes the board a little less demanding. The ABS sidewalls have been reinforced in critical areas with rubber. That dampens the ride, absorbs chatter and impacts on one hand and makes the board a lot more durable on the other hand. The Rock Out profile optimises the board's freestyle skills without compromising its alpine performance. The cambered sections under the feet keep the board poppy and responsive while the rockered tips allow easier press tricks. In other words, the Craft is the definition of a freestyle board. This is it.

What our testers say : The Craft is new in Salomon's catalogue. It's a sort of watered-down version of the Assassin, a softer, more playful board but with similar intentions. The board feels a little nimbler and forgives mistakes a little more, a good match for intermediate up to advanced freestylers who feel a little weak on a real stiff board.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
