The Salomon Grail is an accessible and tolerant model, but its construction remains robust and progressive accompanying your child winter after winter in their progression.  

What is the Salomon Grail snowboard program?  

Whether your child is getting on a snowboard for the first time or already has a few runs under their feet, they will take full advantage of the accessibility and versatility of the Salomon Gray. This board combines a soft flex and flat camber to offer as much maneuverability as possible, with a very comfortable edge-to-snow contact while maintaining a secure grip. The risk of making edge faults is reduced and the flex allows you to ride without forcing on your thighs. You quickly feel comfortable, you fall less and you quickly start to link turns and enjoy yourself! You can discover the edges of the slope and have fun in the snowpark without problems, it's a versatile board that passs through the entire resort no matter what the snow conditions are.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
