Description

The name suits the board....it's for men, real ones. Those who aren't afraid of any terrain, or ready to slash the pow endlessly. To make such a board, Salomon uses a core made of bamboo and basalt, in order to maximise pop and resistance and make the board efficient. And you'll understand what efficiency means to Salomon when you'll start lining full speed turns with an extreme precision. And you'll have as much fun in powder thanks to its Cross shape allowing the board to float effortlessly without sacrificing pop and stability on landings. This is the key for backcountry.

What our testers say : Second year for the Man's Board by Salomon. Freestyle board orientented to backcountry thanks to its Cross profile, camber between the feet and rocker on the tips for floatability. The cracking pop, the good reactivity and strength provided by its basalt and bamboo core make of the Man's Board an excellent board for good freestylers who like stomping tricks everywhere, on and off parks. But we said good freestylers, meaning advanced to expert level, otherwise, you just won't enjoy it.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
