Description

The Rumble Fish is the most powerful board for women at Salomon. However, it keeps its weight fairly moderate, thanks to its high-end construction based on a carbon-reinforced Ghost Green Core with spatulas for more pop and stability. There's also a cork along the edges to absorb vibrations and improve stability at high speeds.

What is the Salomon Rumble Fish snowboard program?

The Salomon Rumble Fish is a twin-tip snowboard, a symmetrical shape with a centered foot position for maximum switch and trick options. Construction-wise, it's solid and the Rumble Fish is capable of nice speed spikes without shaking. With the classic camber section in the center of the board, we have grip on hard snow, we can go for edge to edge rebound, and we also have a powerful pop to take off in ollie. The rockers provide softness to the edge-to-edge transitions, but more importantly, they provide the necessary lift for fun on the moguls and in the powder on the edges of the slope. A powerful and versatile board with which you can ride hard and make it rain tricks.

Who is the Salomon Rumble Fish snowboard for?

This model is for expert snowboarders looking to ride hard all over the resort but also looking to set tricks and ride in switch. Beware, it is still a bit demanding and requires a good technique as well as a good support system.

What are the main qualities of the Salomon Rumble Fish snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
