Description

The Sick Stick has become over the years one of the favorite board of the pro riders, and this isn't by chance, the board deserves its popularity. The Sick Stick is one of the best all-mountain board you'll find on the market. This is due to the smart combination of RNLK tips that give good floatability with an ABC Wrapper construction using the flex of bamboo and provide the board with pop and dampening. The Sick Stick with all this is not only good on all-mountain, but is capable to deliver excellent backcoutry sessions.

What our testers say : It's been several years that Salomon releases this board as the best freeride board on the market. We wouldn't be as emphatic but we would definitely rank it in the Top 5. The shape and the rocker of the board will be the best help to exit the piste and float the pow effortlessly. The bamboo core delivers an incredible pop that's combined to a soft flex, making the board playful and fun. A real mountain shredder for advanced level riders looking for slaying powder lines, enjoying backcountry sessions, and race their buddies on a piste.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
