Description

The Pitchgrim Hand was designed by artist Cody Melick who is the main illustrator of Santa Cruz Skateboard. The board itself comes with a twin tip shape and delivers a nice combo of freestyle and freeride performance. Whether you're up for some park action or you're about to hit that line you've been looking at in the backcountry, the Pitchgrim Hand has you covered.

What can the Santa Cruz Pitchgrim Hand snowboard do?

With its Snap! Rocker, the board is loaded with versatility. It deals with park kickers and rails in the park as easily as it carves trenches on groomers or leaves its track in powder. The twin shape guarantees agility and playfulness while its medium flex makes the board feel progressive and reliable on all terrains. The rockered nose and tail maximise fun and floatation and make the board really pleasant to manoeuver. The cambered midsection ensures control and response when you most need it and makes this board the ultimate allrounder for snowboarders who want to hit every corner of the mountain.

Who is the Santa Cruz Pitchgrim Hand snowboard designed for?

We recommend this board to advanced riders looking for a do-it-all stick with a freestyle bias. The Pitchgrim Hand is a playful partner suited for fun seekers.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
