Description

The Mad Max is Verdad's bombproof concoction for the gnarliest riders who can't find a board that's powerful enough. The brand went sober on the graphics but they went completely mad on the construction. We're pretty sure Mad Max himself wouldn't be able to break the board. Built as stiff as possible, the deck comes with a carbon / kevlar / triax fibreglass reinforced woodcore turning a simple piece of wood into an agressive blade. The traditional camber enhanced edge control and support and provides riders with added stability.

What our testers say : Freestyle-oriented board for advanced or expert riders who ride hard and fast. The Mad Max is a powerful and responsive board suited for an agressive and versatile riding. Whether you like shredding the backcountry or stomping park kickers, the Mad Max has no limits. It's a stiff and demanding board that's not very forgiving. If you aren't too sure about your skills, we'd suggest you to have a look at a softer board like the Flying Ace.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
