Description

Capita boards are recognised for their ...hmm..."inspired" graphics. The Horroscope is a great example of what they're capable of. In between shocking and original, the board has built its notoriety not only with its look but also with the performance delivered. Perfectly adapted for a freestyle use, it comes with an Urban FK profile enhancing agility and forgiveness thanks to a flat midsection and rockers running through the tips. This catch-free ride allows riders to improve their tricks and work on their landings without bailing every time. And a forgiving ride doesn't mean soft, mellow and useless, you can rely on the poplar SS Select core for keeping it snappy and poppy!

What our testers say : The board is quite flexible which makes it super playful. Amateurs of press-tricks and other jibbers are going to love that one. The board works like a dream in parks and streets and it's a good pick for advanced freestylers looking for something really easy to play with. It's also an excellent choice for beginner and intermediate snowboarders looking for a forgiving ride that'll help them link their first turns before landing their first tricks.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
