The Capita Mega Split features a high-end construction allowing to reach a unique power/weight ratio for light ascents and fast descents. It has been designed to offer power when you want it and floatability when you need it. Both powerful and surfy.  

What is the program of the Capita Mega Split splitboard?  

The Capita Mega Split features an all-terrain shape, with camber between the inserts to offer good edge hold at high speed and rocker at the nose and tail to facilitate transitions, dampen unevenness and float. The directional flex profile provides more power and control to the back foot, just like the slight setback allows to initiate turns easier and float on powder effortlessly. In terms of materials, the 3D Ascent 1 Split Core optimises the power/weight ratio of the board with handpicked poplar combined to recycled thermoplastic polymer, while the carbon fibre sandwich guarantees torsional rigidity without weight penalty. Finally, note that a true tail remains present, as it is as wide as the nose, allowing to contemplate riding switch and do some freestyle.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
