The Backland Expert hiking shoe from Atomic offers you as much performance on ascents as on descents thanks to its innovative features. There is a BOA system on the top of the shoe to optimize the tightness and get the fit that suits you best. Tighten fully for maximum responsiveness on descents or loosen a little to enhance comfort.

The highlight of this little gem is its Free/Lock 2.0 lever that provides a wide 74° of articulation for wide and fluid strides throughout the ascent. Once you've enjoyed the scenery, it's time to get back down. Its precise 98 mm inner liner volume combined with a BOA clamping system makes it very effective on snow-soaked slopes. Particularly since the shell is reinforced with Energy Backbone technology for more high-performance transmissions. Comfort is not compromised thanks to a Memory Fit 3D boot that takes care of your foot all day long. Warning: this shoe is only compatible with insert bindings.
