Armada ARW 2017

Alpine Ski Armada ARW 84

Ski sold without binding.

Novelty of the 2016/2017 Armada’s catalogue, the ARW 84 is announced like the new reference of women’s freestyle ski. This cheap ski is the entry level model that is super forgiving. It offers an ultra light wood core and a classic CAP construction really powerful and resistant. Ideal construction to send your first tricks without getting scared to smash your brand new skis.

What can the Armada ARW 84 ski do?

To get into freestyle you need strong twin tip skis, quite soft and easy to bend to do tricks at lightspeed. That is exactly what Armada engineers accomplished when they came up with the ARW 84 for you ladies. You can ride in switch and do nose press on the flat, use the piles of snow on the side of the slopes as kickers to send tricks and spins here and there. If you want more adrenaline, just go to the snowpark and send stylish tricks on the park features. The ARW then delivers all the needed pop to take some air, do crazy spins and provide enough strength to resist to the worst landings.

Who is the Armada ARW 84 ski designed for?

We advise this freestyle ski to ladies and young riders looking for playful skis to work on their technique on the slopes and get into freestyle. Armada propose this girly ski at a really attractive price to be accessible to a wider public.

Manufacturer info :

Type of turns

  • Multi-turns

  • Bidirectional (twin tip)  :

The ski shape allows to ski forward or backward.

Structure - Construction

  • Carbon Kevlar  :

A blend of Carbon/Kevlar stringers that run along the tail of the skis to help stabilize it. This creates a better landing platform, especially when your weight is further back than intended. It also increases snap and adds pop to ollies .

  • AR50 Sidewalls  :

ABS sidewall meets cap construction – the best of both worlds. This engineering method combines the lightweight cap construction in the tip and tail with ABS sidewall underfoot, resulting in enhanced edgehold and significantly lower swing and overall weight.

  • Pop-Lite Core  :

Lightweight wood is combined with a higher density, stiffer species in a horizontal laminate to create an impossibly lively ski that has all the power needed for boosting to new elevations.

Rocker - Camber

  • EST Park Rocker  :

Low raised rocker in the tip and in the tail, with a positive camber under the foot. This construction is perfect for switch riding and carving.

  • 2.5 Impact Edge  :

This edge has an oversized height and width and the steel is heat-treated to a proprietary hardness which helps resist breaking and tearing out from rails, ledges and any other abuse it might meet.

  • S7 Base  :

The new S7 features a gliding additive for increased speed and longevity. Armada's toughest base, find the S7 on any ski that’s looking for rails, ledges, and boxes as much as snow.
