Beacon package BCA T4 Rescue Package Set

The T4 Rescue Package Set from BCA features a Tracker4 avalanche beacon, a Stealth 270 probe and a B-1 EXT shovel. 

Tracker4 avalanche transceiver 

Developed and manufactured in the United States by the American brand Backcountry Access, the Tracker4 digital multi-antenna transmitter-receiver is one of the best avalanche victim search devices on the current market. A model favoured in North America, this avalanche beacon is a reference worldwide, known for being super intuitive and very easy to use. Essential item in your mountain safety equipment kit, it comes with a carrying pouch and batteries, ready to use. Featuring a large screen, the information displayed (distance, direction, etc.) are perfectly readable, even in broad day light. Its ergonomic casing is sturdy and meant demanding users. 

The BCA Tracker4 benefits from a set of advanced features that improve the chances of finding a person trapped under an avalanche. Among them, we can mention the signal suppression mode, the Big Picture mode to search multiple victims, the automatic return to transmission mode with motion detection. 

Multi-victim marking 

If several people are buried, pictograms in the shape of a silhouette appear, corresponding to the detection of signals emitted by the beacon of each victim. Once the first person is spotted and located, the victim marking function allows you to move on to the search of the next person while your teammates clear the first, and so on. 

Signal suppression 

Useful in case of a multiple burial scenario. If it is not possible to turn off the device of the first victim you have found, the suppression function allows you to focus on the weaker signal of the second victim. 

Auto Revert Mode 

The BCA Tracker 3 benefits from the Auto Revert function which switches it from search mode to transmission mode after a few minutes. This allows the avalanche transceiver to never stay in search mode if you ever forget to put it in transmission mode. 

Motion Sensing Auto Revert Mode 

The Motion Sensing Auto Revert system automatically switches the Tracker 3 from search mode to transmission mode if it does not detect any movement for 1 minute. This function is essential in the event of a second avalanche, if you get buried as well.  

Big Picture Function 

This mode offers an overview of all the beacons in a search area. It gives the approximate direction in which the multiple victims of an avalanche are located. To perform a fine search near one of them, it is then necessary to switch to normal search mode.

Stealth 270 Probe 

Thanks to Quick-Lock technology, the BCA Stealth 270 avalanche probe is characterized by efficient assembly and ultra-fast deployment. It consists of 6 segments that fit into each other in a very short time. It features graduations to measure the snow cover and easily know the depth under which the victim is buried in order to determine the dimensions of the digging area. As time is of the essence in an emergency situation, this probe is designed to last and save precious seconds.

B-1 EXT shovel 

Lightweight, the BCA B-1 EXT snow shovel is perfect for skiers and snowboarders concerned about the weight of their backpack. It has a very remarkable weight/strength ratio, while having a small when folded. Made of 6061 aluminium, it has a solid blade with a low profile, an oval shaft with an ergonomic handle. Please note that the shaft has a tip to prevent snow from accumulating inside.
