Description

We are offering models with cosmetic defects for sale. They are brand new, guaranteed by the manufacturer, and have no construction or manufacturing defects. The screen printing was scratched during transport or while being stored in our warehouse. A grading based on their condition has been established: This snowboard has been rated as 3*, meaning it has barely visible defects.

The Salomon Super 8 snowboard features a construction specifically designed to excel in freeride. Its tapered shape with a narrower tail than the nose allows for smooth turn initiation and contributes to the float in deep snow. The setback stance also helps to keep the board above the powder when venturing into the backcountry, especially since the camber under the rear foot enables solid control in pow. The wood core is reinforced with basalt and layers of fibreglass, giving this board a stable and responsive ride, while still remaining forgiving. With it, intermediate to advanced riders can add up the pace of their riding, whether on groomers where the edges will grip just enough for carving, or in the backcountry where the directional shape allows for beautiful trajectories in powder.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
