Description

To compensate a weight difference between climber and belayer, Edelrid has developed the OHM system. This assisted braking system is to be installed at the first bolt in the safety chain and allows to significantly reduce the power needed to belay a heavier climber.  

Edelrid recommends to use this device when the belayer is 10 to 40 kg (1.5 to 6.3 st) lighter than the climber. The OHM is designed to be used with single ropes with a diameter between 8.9 and 11 mm.
