Description

The Cochise 106 is a performance all-mountain ski offered by Blizzard. After several years on the market, it has established itself as one of the best all-mountain, powder-oriented options for those who like to ride hard everywhere.

What is the program of the Blizzard Cochise 106?

The Cochise 106 features a high-quality construction with two titanal plates, carbon fiber, and an energetic wood core. It provides the skis with a lot of stability and responsiveness on any terrain and especially on hard snow. Indeed, those Blizzard offer an excellent grip thanks to a good amount of camber underfoot despite a large waist. Yet do not expect doing slalom turns with those on your feet. With a 24m radius in size 185, they are made to charge down the hill, making rather long turns. Yet, if the Cochise behaves very well on hard snow, it is probably in the powder that it has the more to offer. Indeed, with 106mm underfoot, they offer float for days. Even when it has been snowing several inches of fresh snow, you will stay on top of the powder thanks to the tip rocker. The small rocker on the tail will also help it to pivot.

Who is the Blizzard Cochise 106 for?

The Blizzard Cochise 106 is made for those who like to charge down the hill, no matter the terrain. Its rigidity provides it with outstanding stability and responsiveness. The latter also helps the skis to stay composed in mixed or harsh snow conditions. Thanks to the large waist, those skis also float very well on soft snow.

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
