First ski of the french brand, the Corvus made in Black Crows celebrates its 10th anniversary this season and stays an emblematic freeride ski. Its wide 109mm waist and its unidirectional shape with a long rocker predestines it to an engaged freeride use. It is the kind of ski that doesn’t do any concession. You just need to have a look at the radius to understand that this powder monster will be hard to tame on the slopes.

What can the Black Crows Corvus ski do?

Already ten years that Black Crows engineers refine this powder weapon season after season, imagine how powerful this freeride ski is. Once thrown in the steep, this powder killer eats the terrain asperities and provides massive adrenaline rushes. It delivers an astounding stability and an surgical precision. It shreds big lines and goes straight down the hill no matter what the mountain can throw at you: cornices, cliffs, pillows, trees, rocks the Corvus takes off and flies over everything to land far in deep. Pay attention because the beast is hungry and will also eat your thighs if you lack technique, the presumptuous riders might end up wrap around a tree.

Who is the Black Crows Corvus ski designed for?

We advise the Corvus to experts with a great physical condition and rock solid thighs to tame the beast and don’t get thrown out after the first turn. With the Corvus a simple technique is not enough, if you think you’ve got what it takes to get in with the big guns…

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
