The Burton Custom Smalls is a version for kids of the famous Custom. This is a versatile freestyle-oriented board with a symmetrical shape and traditional camber + double rocker profile. It is built with an FSC™ Certified Super Fly 800G wood core, reinforced by fiberglass for optimal performance.

What is the Burton Custom Smalls snowboard made for?

The Custom Smalls is an all-mountain freestyle board. Its pure twin-tip shape and Purepop Camber profile offer excellent responsiveness and comfort, making it ideal for young snowboarders who are progressing. Its fiberglass reinforced FSC™ Certified Super Fly 800G wood core offers an intermediate flex, perfect for pop on ollies and playfulness for tricks. This board is ideal to learn your first tricks. Its traditional camber + double rocker profile offers grip on groomers and glides well in the side country, enabling kids to have fun on every terrain.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
