Description

The Burton Process Smalls is a kid's snowboard based on one of Burton's best-sellers, the Process. It is largely inspired by this board, with the same versatile freestyle program and the same twin-tip shape. To be more adapted to small sizes and children, it has a softer flex and a flat camber offering more tolerance during edge faults.

What is the program of the Burton Process Smalls snowboard?

The Process Smalls has a lightweight wood core reinforced with biaxial fiberglass. It offers a well-balanced flex, quite easy to handle and low energy consumption, but allowing largely to put rhythm in the descents and to have pop. Offering good glide in soft snow and secure grip on hard snow, the flat camber works throughout the resort and allows you to vary the terrains. Finally, the symmetrical twin-tip shape with a centred foot position allows you to ride in either direction without any problems, offering maximum options for freestyle, tricks and switch riding.

Who is the Burton Process Smalls snowboard for?

This model is for children and young people with an intermediate or advanced level looking to continue to progress throughout the resort and in freestyle.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
