The Capita Defenders Of Awesome features a twin-tip shape that is ideal for freestyle and a construction that is dynamic without being too radical. It features a poplar and paulownia core that is both toned and light, a double layer of biaxial fiberglass for torsional stiffness, carbon reinforcements for an increased pop and bounce, as well as Kevlar reinforcements along the edges for more cushioning and strength.

The Capita D.O.A. is a versatile, high-performance snowboard that will allow you to send and progress throughout the resort. Its camber profile combines a classic camber and rockers in the tips, providing a good grip on piste and hard snow, while facilitating turns and improving glide on soft, transformed and powdery snow. The twin-tip shape allows you to ride in either direction, perfect for freestyle. Finally, the dynamic but playful flex allows you to maintain a good ollie pop and bounce in turns, while maintaining enough flex to facilitate easy rides and tricks.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
